These unanswered questions and feelings of neglect only put even more of a strain on the relationship with my dad. Eventually, it got to a point where I didn’t care if he was around or not. But now that I’ve matured and become a father myself, I understand that it wasn't a choice about me. We have to put our hearts out there on our sleeves. And we have to fight for what we believe in from the arts to human rights. I think rights are being trampled on. And I think it's a really important time for people to kind of be active about that, and to think about that. And not only think about themselves but think about other people. Even if it's not maybe somebody that's like pretending to you necessarily, it really is. Even though it doesn't seem like it is, it is, because we're all connected. And that's kind of what I think is going on now. And I think hopefully, especially with your readers, it really helps them get involved at an early age. Even if they're not even yet voting age. They still have a voice, and they are the next generation. And it's really important that they see what's going on, and they're active, and they're aware.
