When I was a junior, a young man in my upperclassmen house, or dorm, [died by suicide]. We barely knew each other, but he was a face I was used to seeing in the dining hall and a person I never would’ve suspected was suffering. We were all shocked and saddened by his passing. But it wasn’t until a year later that the full weight of his loss really hit me, when I read an article recounting how his little sister had learned guitar and come to campus to play a tribute to him.
