In an attempt to figure out who Varjack is (it's gotta be A, right?), Emily went to talk to Ezra. Ezra knew nothing about it, but thought Mona's lawyer, James Neilan, might. But when Ezra went to see James, it was pretty obvious he wasn't who he seemed to be. Turns out he has some tie to A. Ezra, Aria, and Emily then follow him to what looks like an abandoned house where he retrieves documents (and a gun!) from a safe.
