I make sound work for enjoyment mostly. There's something in particular about sound that interacts with the ways in which I experience my own body and the ways I'm allowed to use my body freely in a space. If there's too much sound, for example, I get really overwhelmed. Being able to make sound helps me sort of navigate the kinds of moods and feelings that I experience. puma roosh runner v2 idp It's not because I don't like doing what I'm doing. It's because I know that it's not going anywhere. It just hangs on somebody's wall for nothing or goes into a big storage room, and it's not touching people that it can inspire. In a lot of ways, my artwork enabled me to teach and be with the folks that inspire you most, which are people who are always learning, always wanting to do more. Whereas when somebody buys a piece of art from you, it's like they're trying to buy you.
