I know Keith Ape, and he definitely was a game changer for what he did, but what Korea has done is that they've taken this formula like K-pop and they've taken it from here and brought it there. They've expanded on it, and that's what that industry is there, as is many music industries. I think one thing with the hip-hop, like the [thing that bothers] me in particular is when artists there use the n-word and culturally appropriate in the literal sense of the word. But the people that suffer for those mistakes are the Asian-American artists that live here that aren't culturally appropriating and that are actually just being their authentic selves. I don't enjoy having to apologize for their behavior when they have no idea what it's like to be in the music industry here and to struggle.
