’s 10th episode opens with Voiceover Jughead talking about how something like, oh, casual Jason Blossom’s murder can throw a normally controlled Riverdale into chaos. While he theorizes about chaos theory, we see flashes of regular Riverdale life (Vixen practice, gym class) and a wild party with popcorn flying everywhere and shirtless boys wearing horse masks. When Veronica sees them together, she recognizes Mr. Jones as the Serpent her mom met with at the drive-in, and Kevin tells her that’s Jug’s dad. But no one really questions why Mr. Jones chooses to stay at this party. Upstairs, Mr. Jones quizzes Joaquin on the intel he’s gathered so far, which pretty much amounts to the tidbit Veronica dropped earlier. Mr. Jones dispatches his young gang member to find out more (claiming that the kids know more than Sheriff Keller does — which is true), and as they part ways we see that Mrs. Cooper is watching them from next door! She’s bringing her daughter a hangover cure in bed and also sniffing around for details about F.P. Jones and Joaquin.
