Strangely enough, I feel the most safe at work. But at the same time I feel the most uncomfortable. It had such a long-lasting effect in the way that I was navigating the creative industry after I graduated university. Pretty much every single job I've ever worked in, apart from the one that I created, I've been the only Black person and Black woman in all the organisations I've worked in.
