So it’s been kind of like a nice surprise for everyone and for me a little difficulty because I’m trying to really steer into the artist lane. I’ve been doing that for a long time but, having all that success with all the activism and community organizing I really like went down that path hardcore for a good year-and-a-half, so to kind of redirect it, it’s been challenging. I’ve been a little afraid of embracing it. I didn’t want people to feel like "Oh, now she’s an activist and now she’s a singer, she’s trying to use this to get up." No!
