And that was just because we've both worked in theater and film and the dominant rhetoric is like, "Oh, well we just can't find talented people who are people of color, women, or queer," and this is just blatantly not true. air force 1 totalsports at this time when I was living in Bushwick. And I remembered sharing the trailer with a friend and being like, 'Yo, this is our lives. Like this is crazy.' This was five years ago, [and I think back on it and am like, look at how] used I am to only watching white people. Like I'm used to having that and not questioning that. And now there's so much more commentary on it. I mean like, 'Yo. This isn't right, the fact that you are constantly having to perceive yourself through the gaze of a straight white man. Now people are much more quick to call it out and are asking that the people being the camera also reflect the people in front of the camera.
