The inception of the Farce of July first began in 1997 in Los Angeles in order to raise funds for grassroots organizations that advocate for human rights and the environment. Unlike many 4th of July events, the Farce of July — open to all ages and free for kids and elders — is strictly no alcohol, drugs, or fireworks.
