Maddie’s used to only seeing a few people in person: Her mother, who is also a doctor; Carla, her nurse; and Rosa, Carla’s daughter. Most of her interactions are online, including the class in architecture that she’s taking, the short book reviews she posts, and the SCID support group she’s in. But when a new family moves in next door, Maddy becomes quickly intrigued by a boy named Olly after he comes over with his sister to offer a Bundt cake from their mom. Maddy’s mom tells Olly she can’t accept the cake, which could be a potential allergen, and Olly manufactures creative end-of-life scenes featuring the Bundt cake (he jokingly pushes the baked good to its "death" from his second-story window along with some other set-ups). Maddy watches from her window and is immediately drawn to Olly, and the life outside her walls that he represents. prime blue ultraboost It's been quite some time since Melissa Joan Hart graced our TV screens for those scrunchie-clad, hilariously earnest segments where she'd, well, explain it all.
