I think that being able to see a movie like this when I was younger would've sent me into adolescence ... knowing that my thoughts and feelings were justified and valid. I think, most of the time, we see these beautiful portraits of male coming-of-age films that justify that experience and teach adolescent boys that this period of their lives is one full of so much joy, pain, questioning, and discovery.
